“I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment.”

Group Therapy Offers Strength & Solidarity
Feelings of loneliness accompany so many people trudging through mental health issues. The sense of isolation, the silent suffering, and the belief that no one could possibly share your thoughts and worries add up to convince you that no one could possibly understand and that things will never get better. Group therapy offers a strength-in-numbers solution to this seclusion by valuing creativity and community in healing. We seek to provide several opportunities throughout the year to connect via groups: day long intensives, classes, online groups . . . we cover it all.
It validates your challenges and creates community, connection, and camaraderie . . . showing you that you're not alone.
Whether you’re dealing with unsettling intrusive thoughts, going through a sticky life transition, burdened by an unexplainable sadness that won’t go away, or seeking personal transformation and improved well-being, group therapy embraces the power of people helping people. It brings together worriers, wonderers, empaths, and those seeking faith, growth, and connection.
At Counseling4Life, we offer several short-term group sessions (4-6 weeks) beginning each spring and fall. Covering a range of challenges, we focus on everything from post-partum stress and couples retreats to teen issues and faith-based healing.

4th Trimester Retreat
There is so much to prepare for with baby. We attend classes on breastfeeding, swaddling, car seat installation, and all the practical essentials — but very few conversations prepare us for the emotional and relational shifts that come after birth. The 4th Trimester is a supportive group designed to help expecting parents prepare for what no one really talks about: the mental, emotional, and relational adjustments of bringing baby home. Led by perinatal mental health–trained counselor Ashley Villarreal, this half-day retreat offers practical insight, honest conversation, and meaningful connection as you step into this new season. In-person and virtual.
Retreat held on Saturdays from 9:00-12:00pm
Upcoming Retreat Dates: June 13, July 18, August 22

Led by perinatal mental health–trained counselor Ashley Villarreal, the group provides a safe and encouraging space to share, learn coping strategies, and rediscover yourself in this new season of parenting.
