Melanie Little, LCSW-S, LCDC

Melanie holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Liberty University and a master’s degree in social work from Our Lady of the Lake University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with supervision status (LCSW-S), and she is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). Melanie has supervised chemical dependency counseling interns, social work graduate students, and Licensed Masters Social Workers (LMSW) working towards their clinical licensure.
Melanie has over 16 years of experience working with people wanting to heal from addiction and complex trauma. She is a certified EMDR practitioner and she is trained in Brainspotting (BSP). In addition to brain-body based therapies, she takes a psychodynamic approach to healing the whole self. She has also been trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples. In addition to these therapeutic approaches, Melanie is skilled with the techniques of Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral Therapies (CBT and DBT).
While Melanie is comfortable working with faith-based clients, she supports individuals from diverse spiritual backgrounds. She works with individuals and couples ages 13 and older.
Outside of work, Melanie enjoys writing and creating content for her blog website, www.mattersofmind.net. She has a social media platform that supports her website and promotes her work in the study of human cycles and how to be a cycle-breaker. She has been authoring a manuscript on the topic, and her dream is to publish a self-help psychospiritual book, On Repeat: The Key to Unlocking Unwanted Cycles.
