    Insurance & Fees

    We accept AETNA, BCBS, UHC AND UMR Insurances

    *Market place plans are currently out of network.

    ● $200 per Initial Assessment & Evaluation Session (30 minutes); required if there is a gap in services for 6 months or more from last session date. This is non refundable due at the time of scheduling.

    ● $150 per follow up session (25 minutes).

    Any Late cancellation is $25 and or No Show is less than 24 hours notice is a $50 Fee

    ● Phone Consultations (non-emergent/non-session)

    $80 per 15 minute increments, with a minimum of 15 minutes, to be scheduled in advance.

    ● Records requests $30 per request

  • Dr. Benun is a medical graduate from the Universidad Central de Venezuela. Upon graduating, he moved to Boston, MA to complete his General Pediatrics Residency. After completing his specialty he worked as a pediatrician in private practice, community health centers and at an academic hospital affiliated to Brown University.

    After 24 years in New England, he relocated to Austin, Texas in 2016. Dr. Benun has practiced general pediatrics with special interest in mental health for children, adolescents and college students (ADHD, Anxiety and Depression) with a unique skill to providing this specific care in a telehealth platform since Dr. Benun believes it is a more efficient and convenient way for patients and their families to address these concerns.

  • Jennifer is a dedicated registered nurse and Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) with a diverse background in patient care, advocacy, and program management. With extensive experience in hospice care, she is committed to providing empathetic and holistic support to patients and families navigating end-of-life care.

    Beyond hospice, Jennifer has worked in various roles supporting vulnerable populations. As a counselor in a children’s home, she guided young mothers through the challenges of parenting and living in a group home. As a crime victims advocate, she provided critical support to individuals facing trauma and crisis.

    Currently, Jennifer is working toward becoming a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to expand her impact in mental health care. She is actively completing clinical rotations and advanced coursework, with the goal of integrating her extensive nursing experience with evidence-based psychiatric care to improve patient outcomes.

    Jennifer works with clients of all ages, offering assessments for anxiety, depression, and ADHD. She provides counseling and medication management, using a holistic approach to care. Jennifer sees clients in person in San Antonio and offers virtual appointments for added convenience.

  • GoodMindrx focuses on psychiatric evaluations and medication management. We do not provide therapy but often work in partnership Counseling4Life or with your child’s therapists and school counselor to support your child’s full treatment plan.

  • Our approach is holistic, minimal, and growth-minded. We aim to use the least amount of medication necessary to support your child’s development and well-being. We strongly value collaboration and regularly coordinate with your child’s therapist, ensuring that medication is just one part of a thoughtful and personalized care plan.

  • The initial visit includes a thorough psychiatric evaluation where we discuss your child’s history, current symptoms, and any previous treatment. This helps us determine whether medication is appropriate and, if so, what options might be best.

  • Yes, Dr. Benun is licensed to prescribe controlled medications such as stimulants when clinically appropriate. We follow evidence-based practices and closely monitor effectiveness and side effects.

  • Most children begin with monthly follow-up appointments to monitor progress and adjust medications as needed. Once stable, visits may shift to every 2–3 months, depending on your child’s needs and medication type.
