    Vanessa was raised south of San Antonio in Natalia, Texas.  Vanessa received her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from TAMUSA in May of 2022. 

    Vanessa has experience working with school age children, adolescents, and adults.  She has experience working with domestic violence issues, and educating on the cycle of control and violence. 

    Vanessa has also worked with those living with trauma, anxiety, depression, suicidality, anger, grief/loss and substance use. Vanessa believes that seeking help is the first step in the healing process.

    Robyn earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from UTSA. She is currently a LCSW Associate.     Ana Maldonado is a proud Guatemalan and first-generation American who settled in San Antonio in early childhood. Ana received her master’s degree in counseling from Divine Mercy University.

    Ana maintains a holistic approach to healing and is equipped to work with multiple facets of trauma, including grief and loss, sexual trauma, and EMDR.

    She believes we are wired for love, belonging, and connection. Ana believes counseling can offer a space for those challenges to be explored, met with compassion, and resolved.

    Ashley Lyssy, LCSW

    Ashley graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelors in Family and Child Development degree and a Masters in Social Work degree.

    Ashley is passionate about empowering others to achieve their personal goals. She has clinical experience with individual adults, geriatrics, families as well as couples using Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, or EFT.

    Ashley’s background includes inpatient psychiatry, helping unique individuals achieve and maintain stabilization. Experience with individuals with substance use, anxiety, depression, psychosocial stressors, neurocognitive disorders, caregiver support and life transitions.

    Sydney Chamness, LPC

    Sydney was born in Colorado but has called Texas home for most of her life. She earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA).

    Sydney specializes in faith-based counseling for individuals, teens, and couples, with a particular focus on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples. She is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where clients can grow, heal, and feel heard.

    Anessa Vargas, LPC

    Anessa was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. Anessa received her master’s degree in clinical and mental health therapy from UTSA in 2015.

    Robin Pritz, LPC

    EMDR Trained

    Robin became a Licensed Professional Therapist in Texas in 2004. In 2006, she moved to her home state of Kansas, then returned to Texas in August 2019.

    Robin works with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, trauma, couple and family issues. She has helped others cope with disabilities and severe and persistent mental health diagnoses.

    Robin meets her clients on their journey with hope, a warm smile, and friendly words of encouragement; no matter how challenging their journey may be, or how "stuck" they feel.

    Heather Pullen, LCSW

    Heather Pullen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has been an educator and later worked in child welfare for Child Protective Services. It was there that Heather gained her love for Social Work. She earned her Masters degree in Social Work from UTSA in 2013.

    Heather works with clients who are processing a wide variety of different issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, emotional/physical abuse, behavior issues, grief and loss, and trauma.

    Caroline Maish, MSW Graduate Student

    Caroline, a Tucson, Arizona native, earned her Bachelor's in Neuroscience with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Arizona. After completing ROTC, she commissioned into the Air Force as a Force Support Officer and has served for five years at bases in Louisiana, Kansas, and Texas. She is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work at the University of Kentucky through an Army program at Fort Sam Houston and will transition to a therapist role in the Air Force upon completion.

    Caroline has experience working with military personnel facing PTSD, military sexual trauma, depression, anxiety, and substance use. Passionate about mental health, she supports children, adolescents, families, and individuals with empathy, acceptance, and a nonjudgmental approach.

    Outside of work and studies, Caroline enjoys exploring local cuisine, listening to podcasts, and planning trips with friends.

    Tasha O'Connor LPC- Associate, LCDC Associate

    Rev. Tasha O'Connor is a compassionate counselor who creates a safe and welcoming space for clients to heal, grow, and reconnect with their sense of purpose. She will graduate in May of 2025 with her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lamar University out of Beaumont, TX. She has completed a two-year Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program through The College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy. Tasha combines her clinical training with personal experience in long-term recovery to support individuals on their journey toward emotional, spiritual, and relational well-being.

    She enjoys working with clients of all ages and is especially attuned to those navigating challenges related to mental health, addiction, and complex life experiences.

    Outside the therapy room, Tasha loves spending time with her husband and children, reading, traveling, and capturing life’s little moments through photography. She is also a Christian author who finds deep meaning in storytelling, faith, and lifelong learning.

    Angels Cooper, Graduate Student

    Angels Cooper was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and raised across Germany, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. as an Army child. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University in 2022 and is currently pursuing her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, expected in January 2026.

    She served over 8 years as an Army Medic, including a deployment to Afghanistan, where she led an aid station and provided both physical and mental health support. Angels has experience working with individuals facing PTSD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues.

    She believes seeking help is the first step in healing and strives to create a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their inner strengths. Outside of work, Angels enjoys time with her family, three dogs, three cats, and engaging in reading, writing, and creative arts.

    Julie was born in California and raised on the East Coast. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Delaware in 2021 and is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work at the University of Kentucky, with an expected graduation in 2026.

    With three years of experience providing behavioral interventions for children and adolescents with disabilities, Julie has worked with individuals and families facing behavioral challenges, trauma, and abuse. She believes behavior is a form of communication and values a compassionate, individualized approach that honors the complexity of each person’s life and relationships.

    Outside of her work, Julie enjoys spending time with her two dogs and family, getting outdoors, and reading a good book.

    Missy Howard was born in San Antonio, TX, and spent her early childhood in Syracuse, NY. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 2024.

    While at the Academy, Missy took on leadership roles focused on fostering inclusion and supporting fellow cadets, particularly those from diverse backgrounds. She approaches care with empathy, openness, and a holistic mindset. After commissioning into the Air Force, she worked for six months with the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Leadership before beginning the Army–University of Kentucky Master of Social Work program, where she is currently enrolled.

    Outside of her studies, Missy enjoys working out, listening to audiobooks and music, and spending time with family.

    Belinda Mood, Graduate Student

    Belinda is a native of Elloree, SC. She earned her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resource Management from Touro University International in 2007. She is actively pursuing her Masters of Art (MA) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Divine Mercy University, expected in September 2026. She is a retired Army officer with 28 years of dedicated service.

    Belinda has specialized training in Childhood and Adolescent Trauma and Treating Traumatized Families.

    She is currently pursuing additional training and certifications. Outside of her passion for counseling, Belinda enjoys spending time with Mocha, her Yorkshire Terrier fur baby.

    Her hobbies include traveling, spending time with family and friends, and reading self-help books.

    Jim Reynolds, M.Ed., LPC

    Jim Reynolds is a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in trauma therapy for First Responders. He is certified in EMDR (EMDRIA) and trained in CPT for PTSD, as well as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples. A career police officer with 38 years of service, Jim retired as a Lieutenant from the Midland Police Department and later served as Director of the Permian Basin Law Enforcement Academy.

    He holds advanced degrees in Counselor Education and Pastoral Counseling, and has conducted original research on law enforcement marriage dynamics and stress. Jim is an FBI National Academy graduate (Session 178) and an alumnus of the PERF Senior Management Institute for Police.

    Jim and his wife of 45 years live in Boerne, Texas, where they enjoy time with their children and grandchildren.

    Marisa received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Houston-Victoria. She began working as a forensic interviewer as part of a multidisciplinary team in the fight against child abuse at the children’s advocacy center (CAC) in her hometown of Victoria, TX. After relocating and working for over seven years in the Travis County CAC, she decided to return to Victoria and the University of Houston-Victoria to pursue her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology.

    Shannon Zorn, LMFT Registered Play Therapist

    Originally from Florida, Shannon spent her childhood in New Orleans. In 2010, she moved to San Antonio, Texas to pursue her career as a therapist.

    Shannon received her master’s in marriage & family therapy with a concentration in play therapy from St. Mary’s University in 2012 and is completing her doctorate in marriage and family therapy. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and has a wealth of experience working with children and parents as a Registered Play Therapist. Her other areas of expertise and specialty are Twogether in Texas premarital counseling, Gottman Method-focused couples/marriage therapy, family therapy, issues of domestic violence, and using play (child-centered and sand tray) in therapy for ages 2-12.

    Megan Slovacek LPC-Associate

    Megan Slovacek was born and raised in Texas. Megan received her Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2011 and her Master’s degree in School Counseling in 2018. She graduated from the University of Houston-Victoria for both of her degrees. Megan is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who is also certified in sand tray therapy. She has 14 years of experience working in education as an elementary teacher and school counselor.

    Megan’s experience includes working with individuals and families who struggle with anxiety, ADHD, behavior disorders, stress, grief, relationship issues including peer conflict, self-regulation, life transitions, anger, and self-esteem. She knows that taking the steps to begin therapy can be overwhelming and difficult.     Rosanne Resendez Wagner LPC-Associate

    A native of Victoria, Rosanne attended Victoria College and the University of Houston–Victoria, where she earned her Master’s degree in School Counseling in 2012. She brings over 17 years of experience as a school counselor, including more than 4 years working specifically in the area of McKinney-Vento services.

    Rosanne provides collaborative counseling and therapy for children ages 4–12, teens, individuals, couples, and families. She supports clients navigating challenges such as anxiety, ADHD, stress, anger, low self-esteem, and difficulties with emotional regulation.

    Jacques Benun, M.D., Pediatric Mental Health Provider

    Dr. Benun is a medical graduate from the Universidad Central de Venezuela. Upon graduating, he moved to Boston, MA to complete his General Pediatrics Residency. After completing his specialty he worked as a pediatrician in private practice, community health centers and at an academic hospital affiliated to Brown University.

    After 24 years in New England, he relocated to Austin, Texas in 2016. Dr. Benun has practiced general pediatrics with special interest in mental health for children, adolescents and college students (ADHD, Anxiety and Depression) with a unique skill to providing this specific care in a telehealth platform since Dr. Benun believes it is a more efficient and convenient way for patients and their families to address these concerns.goes here

    Jennifer Sarasky-Morales, RN, CHPN

    Jennifer is a dedicated registered nurse and Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) with a diverse background in patient care, advocacy, and program management. With extensive experience in hospice care, she is committed to providing empathetic and holistic support to patients and families navigating end-of-life care.

    Currently, Jennifer is working toward becoming a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to expand her impact in mental health care. She is actively completing clinical rotations and advanced coursework, with the goal of integrating her extensive nursing experience with evidence-based psychiatric care to improve patient outcomes.

    Jennifer works with clients of all ages, offering assessments for anxiety, depression, and ADHD. She provides counseling and medication management, using a holistic approach to care.     Michelle received her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. She is passionate about couples, family, and marriage therapy.     Stephanie graduated with her Master from UTSA in 2011. Prior to starting work in the therapy field, Stephanie worked in preschools for over seven years.

    Michelle has worked with individuals experiencing a variety of life struggles and mental health challenges such as domestic violence, grief and loss, addiction, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. She also has experience working with couples struggling with communication difficulties, infidelity, and emotional distance. Michelle is certified in EMDR therapy to promote healing and help clients build lives full of authenticity, purpose, and meaning.

    Michelle holds a master’s in counseling, and she is both a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor.

    Michelle sees individuals, couples, trauma, addiction, and faith-based clients.

    Sarah Keen, LPC, RPT

    Sarah Keen, LPC, RPT, is a dedicated therapist passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and families through communication, connection, and a safe, nurturing space.

    As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist, she blends traditional talk therapy with play therapy to help clients manage anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral issues, anger, and self-esteem challenges. She also incorporates Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) to strengthen family bonds and improve communication.

    A National Certified Counselor (NCC), Sarah takes a client-centered, strength-based approach, fostering an inclusive and culturally sensitive environment. Outside of work, she dedicates herself to animal rescue, dog training, and agility competitions. Whether hiking with her four dogs or enjoying a good movie, she values quality time outdoors and with loved ones.

    Jordan McGarrity, LPC Associate

    Jordan McGarrity was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She has a background in working with college students in mentorship and accompaniment capacities, which led her to pursue a path in mental health. She ireceived master’s degree in counseling at Divine Mercy University.

    Jordan is a current LPC Associate gaining experience in working with a variety of populations. Alongside her school work, Jordan has received additional education to prepare her to work with various types of trauma using EMDR, including sexual trauma, domestic abuse, and compassion fatigue. 

    Jordan sees individuals, adolescents 12-18yrs, trauma, and faith-based clients.
