Teen Girls Need Positive Community
Adolescence can be an isolating season, especially for teen girls navigating anxiety, academic pressure, friendships, and identity. While individual therapy is incredibly helpful, there is something uniquely powerful about a positive, therapeutic community—one where girls can see that their struggles are shared and their voices matter. In these spaces, shame decreases and connection grows, creating the foundation for real change.
The Confidently You! group is designed to offer that kind of community. Girls learn practical, evidence-based skills to manage anxiety while also having space to process their real-life stressors out loud. As they listen to one another, offer encouragement, and practice new ways of thinking and responding, they begin to internalize both the tools and the support around them.
The ultimate goal of this work is resilience—not the absence of anxiety, but the confidence and capacity to face it. When teen girls are equipped with skills and surrounded by a supportive peer group, they begin to trust themselves more, take healthy risks, and move forward with greater strength and clarity.
Helpful tips for parents of teen girls struggling with anxiety:
Stay connected without trying to “fix.” Create regular, low-pressure opportunities to listen. Feeling understood is often more helpful than immediate solutions.
Normalize anxiety while building skills. Help your teen see that anxiety is common and manageable, and support her in learning practical tools rather than avoiding stress.
Encourage healthy supports. Whether through therapy, groups like Confidently You!, or trusted mentors, connection is one of the most powerful antidotes to anxiety.
